Amir Ashuri is a cybersecurity leader with a background in IT/OT Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Industrial Control System (ICS) Engineering over a 20+ year career. Amir is currently Director of Cyber Risk & Resilience - Industrials & Energy at EY Canada. His most recent experience prior to his current role was Senior Manager of Cybersecurity GRC at a large North American Class 1 Rail company, and before that he led Cybersecurity GRC and OT teams at a major North American energy infrastructure company. Prior to pivoting into cybersecurity, Amir spent much of his career as an Automation Engineer where he designed, built, and operated OT / Industrial Control Systems for several large energy, utilities, and critical infrastructure companies, after which he moved on to securing those systems against cyber threats. Amir is a Professional Engineer and obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
