Chris Foster is vice-president of Information Technology and Real Estate at Trans Mountain. His scope of work includes all of IT and OT, including cyber security. In addition to keeping all of the technology assets up and running every day, Chris joined Trans Mountain to lead a significant modernization effort around ways of working and the tools and technologies the company depends upon.
Prior to joining Trans Mountain, Chris was a Senior Partner at Accenture in a Transformation Excellence role, working with global organizations to design and deliver enterprise-wide transformation strategies. He brought to that role a cross-industry perspective on innovation, operational excellence, and scal-able change, informed by years of leading complex programs across di-verse operating environments.
Previously, Chris served as Chief Information and Innovation Officer at a major TSX-listed organization, where he managed a $400M budget and led a team of 800. Reporting to the board and executive leadership, he drove initia-tives that aligned technology, innovation, and operating model change to measurable business outcomes, spanning strategy, execution, talent, and cul-ture.
With experience leading transformation from both the operator and advisor sides, Chris is known for navigating complexity, building accountable delivery organizations, and translating strategy into sustained execution and business outcomes.
